I prefer a tool bag or box, with the razor sharp stuff in leather sheaths, and a leather tool belt and/or pouch that can be
equiped for specifc jobs.Specialists who know exactly what they will need, may have an on body kit which has evolved to the point that they reach for stuff without looking, but then, there are always contingencies for which the only answer is a creative solution.The rest is just play, we all do it, have fun is the main thing.

These things look cool but, as someone that's been gifted many leather thing holders, they take up so much extra space. The fabric bag with the elastic strap someone else commented about is perfect, you can jam it full of shit and it takes up the same space.
